Grip Bar Stabilise Water Tank Walls

Stainless steel Grip Bar manufactured by Stainless UK has been used to form the tie bars designed to stabilise the internal walls of a new Acivated Sludge Plant at a water waste treatment works.

The 39mm diameter, high tensile, fully threaded bars were installed by contractor Laing O'Rourke as part of a major upgrade of one of the largest waste water treatment plants in the country.

 Each tie bar spanned the 25 meters between the internal concrete baffle walls within the state of the art processing plant. Stainless UK supplied all the bars, couplers, nuts, wall plates and connectors for each tie assembly.
