During grouting, the sleeve expands and conforms to irregularities, cracks and local voids while helping retain grout around the intended anchorage zone. It is intended for use as part of an engineer-specified grouted anchor assembly.

Key Benefits

  • Helps limit uncontrolled grout migration
  • Expands to accommodate cracks, fissures and irregular boreholes
  • Supports more controlled grout placement and reduced waste
  • Flexible tubular form for fitting over anchor bars
  • Supplied on rolls for cutting to project length

Typical Applications

  • Rock anchors and rock bolts
  • Tunnelling and ground stabilisation
  • Void-prone or fissured ground
  • Civil engineering anchorage works
  • Situations where grout loss into surrounding ground must be controlled

Installation Guidance

  • Cut the sleeve to the required bonded length, allowing sufficient material for secure closure and connection at each end.
  • Fit the sleeve over the anchor assembly without tears, snagging, excessive pre-stretch or local twisting.
  • Secure the sleeve and grout inlet arrangement using a project-approved method so grout cannot escape at the ends.
  • Place the assembly in a clean, suitably prepared borehole. Pump compatible grout slowly and in a controlled manner so the sleeve expands progressively.
  • Inspect and test the completed installation in accordance with the project specification and temporary/permanent works design.

Storage & Handling

  • Store dry, clean and protected from direct sunlight, heat, sparks, chemicals and mechanical damage.
  • Keep rolls in their original packaging until required and avoid crushing or contaminating the fabric.
  • Inspect before use. Do not install material that is torn, heavily stretched, contaminated or otherwise damaged.
  • Acrylic is combustible. Keep away from ignition sources and hot-work areas.
