The flange / cap controls how far the dowel protrudes either side of the bracket it is fitted to.
Plain dowels offer a versatile and cost-effective alternative, supplied cut to length and suitable for welding to brackets or restraints if required. Diameters and lengths can be manufactured to suit project requirements.
